College Basketball: AP All-American Team Announced

March 31, 2008

hassel.jpgThe Associated Press announced their All-American teams today. Three of the five players on the first team are still playing in the tournament, UNC’s Tyler Hansbrough, Memphis’ Chris Douglas-Roberts, and UCLA’s Kevin Love. Also making the first team were Kansas State’s Michael Beasley and Texas’ D.J. Augustin. Coincidentally, this is the first year that no members of the first team are seniors. Coincidental to what, you ask? OTR is still trying to figure that out. Possibly just a poor choice of words.

Second Team:
Luke Harangody, Notre Dame
Roy Hibbert, Georgetown
Shane Foster, Vanderbilt
D.J. White, Indiana
Stephen Curry, Davidson

Third Team:
Chris Lofton, Tennessee
Darren Collison, UCLA
Brook Lopez, Stanford
Derek Rose, Memphis
Eric Gordon, Indiana

The Made Up Fourth Team:
Yasmine Bleeth, Los Angeles County
David Hasselhoff, Los Angeles County
Jeremy Jackson, Los Angeles County
Gena Lee Nolin, Los Angeles County
Pamela Anderson, Los Angles County

    The Hoff!!!!

  2. Perry, is it just me, or is it a little odd that two Indiana players are on the list? Is the NCAA secretly pushing buttons to make the IU job more attractive, even though both players won’t be there next year?

Interesting point TSI. When writing the article I did notice two Indiana players. Then I wondered how they lost in the first round in the tournament. Then I stopped wondering, but you have started my wondering again?
