According to recently released RB Dominic Rhodes, Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin didn’t want to draft a RB in the first round last weekend.

“We had like a stable full of running backs that are capable,” Rhodes told Sirius Satellite Radio Tuesday. “We went and drafted a guy that – he’s a great runner, don’t get me wrong – but I don’t understand the logic behind it. I don’t really think that (coach) Lane Kiffin wanted to take a running back in the first round, let’s just put it like that. He has to deal with it now, but I don’t think that’s what he wanted to do.”

That’s a nice way of saying: “He was throwing stuff around the War Room when the decision was made.”
