The Arizona Cardinals hosted their first of 14 voluntary practices on Tuesday and wide receiver Anquan Boldin was not in attendance.

The Arizona Republic reports that Boldin wants a new contract. Boldin has three years left on his deal, and the team has expressed a desire to sign him to an extension.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “I would be less than honest if I said if I wasn’t disappointed that Anquan and Darnell weren’t here. But once again, these are voluntary.”

Defensive lineman Darnell Docket was also a no-show. That isn’t as interesting, but I needed to state that so you would know which Darnell the coach was talking about. It coulda been Fox reality guru Mike Darnell, but that really wouldn’t have made any sense.
