According to Barry Jackson from the Miami Herald a “Heat official expressed concern that Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni will try to ingratiate himself to Dwyane Wade (and LeBron James) as a U.S. Olympic assistant coach this summer in case the Knicks can clear cap space to pursue either as free agents in 2010.”
Lebron needs to get out of Cleveland. Last year in the playoffs he was a one-man machine in getting his team to the NBA Finals. But it was clear the team wasn’t good enough to win a title after getting swept by the Spurs.
So, this year Danny Ferry traded away guard Larry Hughes, forwards Drew Gooden and Cedric Simmons, and guard Shannon Brown in return for Ben Wallace and forward Joe Smith from the Bulls, and forward Wally Szczerbiak and guard Delonte West from the SuperSonics.
The end result was them not even making it to the Eastern Conference Finals or as I like to call it, two steps backwards. Danny Ferry can’t seem to get anyone to help Lebron. Thusly, Lebron needs to go. Furthermorely (I know it’s not a word), New York will be a great fit.
Imagine the New York Knicks getting Baron Davis and Lebron James in 2010. Mike D’Antoni would have a field day with that duo.
Dwayne Wade should stay in Miami. He’s either going to be teammates with Derrick Rose or Michael Beasley, pending Heat GM Randy Pfund doing something stupid. Any of those combinations with Shawn Marion should win some games. Can D Wade stay healthy too, please?
NBA Draft is four weeks away people.
