Mariners to release Sexson soon

According to a report in the Herald, a source within the Mariners says that they will look to release Richie Sexson within the next few days.
Sexson is hitting .218 with 9 HR’s and 23 RBI’s this year, while making $14 million. These new people in charge in Seattle are real hard asses.
Too bad they don’t have anyone to replace him. Honestly… how bad is an organization when they don’t have a backup at first base that can hit higher than .216? They are a complete joke of an organization.
