R.J. really developed into a player here, but the cap is designed to disperse the talent throughout the league.  At least they&#039;re sending him to a familiar location in Ohio with a familiar face in Coach Hitchcock.

Supposedly, Hitch has made it clear to RJ that there are top line minutes waiting for him in Columbus.  I feel like the Flyers are making cap space for a Carter contract and perhaps a free agent defenseman splash on July 1st.   

Either way, this is a better situation for RJ to develop and shine; he was an overachieving utility player in Philly that stepped up his game and surprised people.</description>
