Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports is reporting “the Indiana Pacers have agreed in principle to send six-time All-Star Jermaine O’Neal to the Toronto Raptors for point guard T.J. Ford and the 17th pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, a league executive said Wednesday.”
Toronto also will send Rasho Nesterovic and another role player to match up with O’Neal’s salary.
Toronto will be a very exciting team to watch next season with Jermaine O’Neal (if he can stay healthy) and Chris Bosh in the front court. However, one has to wonder whether Chris Bosh will stay in Toronto after next season. He will have the opportunity to opt out of his contract after the season is over and test free agency. Which, in my opinion, will happen.
For Indiana, they pick up a solid point guard (if he can stay healthy) in TJ Ford…and some contracts.
