Philly.com is reporting, “The 76ers agreed to terms today with restricted free agent guard Louis Williams on a 5-year contract.”
Is he working for free?  What’s the dollar amount?  I mean, c’mon Philly.com?
Whatever, we knew this was gonna happen.  Dollar amount doesn’t matter.  Andre Iguodala is next and then the 76ers are ready to dominate.

This move shocked OTR. The Edmonton Oilers named Steve Tambellini as general manager and moved Kevin Lowe to the role of president of hockey operations.
Our reaction? Are you kidding?! Oilers fans, get rid of your season tickets. This guy is absolute garbage and knows less about hockey than he [...]

The Cowboys’ Terrence Newman is going to be out around three weeks with a groin tear. Newman is clearly their best player in the secondary, but they actually have a big of depth at corner.
They added Pacman Jones, and despite the fact that he’s a colossal ass, he is a hell of a [...]

A source has told the Green Bay Press-Gazette that the Jets and Packers are in serious talks to get Favre.
Stay tuned.

The Titans have become the third team to cut Mike Williams, the former #10 overall draft by the Detroit Lions.
He was a manchild at USC as a receiver, but was just too lazy and slow to make it as a wideout in the NFL. And remember this, the Titans WRs blow harder than a [...]

CNNSi.com is reporting that the Dodger have acquired the services of Manny Ramirez.
Ok, so ignore our other report of someone else’s report, because the deal sends Jason Bay to the Red Sox and the Pirates get four minor leaguers.
The $20 million club options on Manny for 2009 and 2010 were dropped.

A source told MLB.com that the Tampa Bay Rays have landed outfielder Jason Bay for a couple of Minor leaguers, including shortstop Reid Brignac and right-hander Jeff Niemann.
The Rays have not confirmed this as of this posting.

Remember Mike Bell? The running back that helped out some fantasy owners when he played for the Broncos? Yeah, well he hasn’t had a home for a while. Until today. The Texans signed him up to join their backfield.

Thanks to the Sports Idiot for tipping us off that the Reds and White Sox have agreed to a deal that will send Ken Griffey, Jr. to Chicago. The Reds will receive Danny Richar and Nick Masset while paying the remaining $4 million on Griffey’s contract.

Loyal reader Marky Mark has informed OTR that Charles Barkley was in Manayunk (part of Philadelphia) last night.
Marky Mark stated, “Charles was walking across the street as I was driving my car into Manayunk.  He most likley was coming out of one the restaurants on the main drag.  He was wearing a peach shirt and [...]

On September 27th, the Flyers will return to their home of nearly 40 years when they play the Carolina Hurricanes in a pre-season game at the Spectrum.
“This will be a wonderful opportunity for thousands of our fans, who used to attend our games at the Spectrum or watch them on TV, to come back one [...]

Ahmad Bradshaw spent 30 days in jail during the offseason and no one really has any idea why. His people claim that it was related to something that happened before he was drafted by the Giants in 2007, but people don’t get randomly thrown in jail for doing nothing. But, whatever.

Two nights ago Ron Artest was sent to the Houston Rockets from SacTown for rookie Donte Greene,  Bobby Jackson and a first-round pick in 2009.
NBA front-office sources confirmed to ESPN.com “that the Kings also will receive approximately $1 million in cash considerations. But the deal can’t be completed and announced before Aug. 14 because Greene [...]

Philadelphia Phillies fans are really really excited right now as their team is beating down on the worst team in all of baseball. The Phillies do a good job at beating bad teams but still suck at collecting wins against baseball’s best. Aren’t baseball’s best usually in the playoffs? How many playoff [...]

The Steelers second-round pick in last April’s draft was carted off the field with cramps. Originally, there was speculation that it was a hammy injury, but apparently it was just cramps.
Like…his time of the month cramps?
Apparently not. He was not crabby at all.
“We took him off to protect him,” head coach Mike Tomlin [...]

Perry is a genius. He knew that making fun of Shane Victorino would send him into a hot streak. That’s why we love Perry.
The Phillies recaptured first place last night as they beat the Nationals 8-5 and the Mets fell 7-5 to the Marlins.
Shane Victorino, who Perry thinks is trash, went [...]

No, really, it’s true! Actually, I’m being rough on the guy, he’s had a nice season. His pitching was reminiscent of doing an ass-to-mouth with a giraffe’s dong that was previously situated in another giraffe’s rear end (hence the “ass” part) earlier this year and last. But, he’s shut me up. [...]

ESPN’s Buster Olney says that the Dodgers are in talks with the Padres about acquiring the services of pitcher Greg Maddux.
At 4-8 with a 4.29 ERA this year, we can see why the Dodgers would be so hot on his trail.

ESPN’s Peter Gammons is reporting that the Red Sox and Marlins are in serious talks regarding Manny Ramirez. The primary return would be Josh Willingham or Jeremy Hermida. Willingham would replace Manny for the season, but Hermida is a much more intriguing long-term prospect.

Okafor was the second overall pick in the 2004 NBA draft. I’m not sure if it’s because he has played on a horrible team with horrible players, but [...]
