Ron Artest is a complete nut job, but when Ron Ron is on his game he is one of the best players in the NBA. When I say one of the best, I mean in the top 20, so settle down. He regretted opting out of his contract before the July 1st deadline after Baron Davis, Elton Brand, and Corey Maggette did opt out. So, if Artest wants to play for another team next season the Sacramento Kings need to trade him.

The next paragraph is being reported by the Sacramento Bee. The Sacramento Bee is a newspaper and not the personal mascot for former Police vocalist, Sting. That’s a lame joke but humor is better than doing crack with Amy Winehouse. That last sentence was for the kids.
In steps the Los Angeles Lakers. “According to a league source, the Lakers already have contacted the Kings regarding Artest and are believed to be offering forward Lamar Odom. As of Tuesday evening, the Kings had not returned the call. They are expected to insist on forward Kenny Thomas and his $18 million of remaining salary (over two seasons) being included in that potential trade. Kings basketball president Geoff Petrie declined comment on whether the Lakers had called.”
