The Steelers second-round pick in last April’s draft was carted off the field with cramps. Originally, there was speculation that it was a hammy injury, but apparently it was just cramps.
Like…his time of the month cramps?
Apparently not. He was not crabby at all.
“We took him off to protect him,” head coach Mike Tomlin said. “He’s a guy who runs all day. He’s run a bunch and had some opportunities. The body betrayed him just a little bit.”
Sweed had a wrist injury that concerned many teams during the draft. If he was completely healthy, he probably would have been the first WR off the board.
