Ben Gordon’s attempts in signing a lucrative deal with the Chicago Bulls or in a sign and trade have all failed. It doesn’t seem there is any interest from NBA teams unless he brings down his monetary requests. So, what’s next? How about Europe?
Gordon, who was born in London and has British citizenship, told the Daily Herald over a month ago that he might consider playing in Europe, “…it’s a possibility with the Euro being so strong. Josh did it. It just depends on what the individual wants or what he can put up with. I’m from London, so it’s definitely something that seems like it would be interesting. But ideally I’d like to be here playing in the States for the team that drafted me.”
However, the Chicago Bulls and Ben Gordon can’t come to any agreements. Gordon already has rejected an offer from the Bulls that would have paid him $6.4 million dollars. His 18 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds per game isn’t drawing anything higher.
But, The Hoop is now reporting that a Greek website (contra.gr) states the CSKA Moscow has made an offer to the Chicago Bulls’ guard for 5.5 million per year. The article also says that Gordon will give his final answer by Wednesday, but apparently he still wants more money.
We all want more money Ben, but it seems nobody thinks you’re worth it. Take what you can get.
