Philadelphia 76ers GM Ed Stefanski found another $1.3 million dollars somewhere and decided to sign former UCONN Huskie Donyell Marshall to the league veteran’s minimum. Marshall’s addition to the team helps them reach the 65-man roster limit.
Donyell, who was born in Reading, PA and attended Reading High School, is tied with Kobe Bryant for the record of most three-pointers in a game (12). Ironically, he achieved this feat against the Philadelphia 76ers in 2005 when he played for the Raptors of Toronto.

This will be Donyell’s eighth team to play for in the NBA after being drafted fourth overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1994. In 2003, Marshall won Sporting News’ Good Guy Award for being such a good guy. An accomplishment that is a close second to Sporting News’ Great Guy Award.
