Our German friend Schweinsteiger had some NFL gambling questions for us, so we thought we would address them here. Besides, we aren’t busy. The fact that he physically mailed us a letter from Germany was impressive. We cleaned up a bit of the language as he used the F-bomb an awful lot when referring to Perry. He writes:

First, we aren’t great gambling experts. But we do have a rule: Keep your gambling under control. If it starts to get out of control (as it easily can) and you are losing too much money, continue to borrow money from those around you and keep on betting, you will eventually win it all back.

I don’t know what “2,05 quote” means, so I don’t know what else to say but to get a home improvement loan against your house and bet all of it on “2,05 quote.” It’s a sure thing.

I like the Jets -3 against the Dolphins.

I’d stay away from Philly giving 7.5 to the Rams. It’s Week 1 and that’s a lot of points when we haven’t seen any teams play for real yet. I’d stay away from that game.

I like Detroit -4 against the Falcons. I think the Falcons will be miserable.

San Diego is only -2 against a Steve Smith-less Carolina team?? I’ll take that all day every day and twice on Tuesday.

I think I’d stay away from New Orleans/Tampa. Drew Brees and New Orleans (-3.5) have been high flying in the past, but they also started out last year like a bunch of a-holes. I don’t know what to make of the Saints at this point.
