Last night in Atlantic City, NJ, 43-year old Bernard Hopkins won a 12-round decision over undefeated middleweight champion Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik. It was a stunning one-sided decision that was scored 119-106, 118-108 and 117-109.
I didn’t watch this fight and there was no way I was going to watch this fight. Watching Bernard Hopkins fight is like watching the Atlanta Dream run their layup drills…boring, uneventful, and boring. I understand Hopkins is a great technical fighter and true boxing fans appreciate the longevity of his career, but I don’t get any entertainment from his bouts.
