Utah Jazz’ Deron Williams has been sidelined for the start of the NBA season with a sprained ankle. And he is annoying the bejesus out of his teammates. Yes, the bejesus.
During Wednesday’s game against Denver, apparently Deron spent most of the game chatting up a storm while sitting on the bench with his teammates.
“He was talking the whole time,” a laughing Kyle Korver said. “I was like, ‘Dude, shut up. I’m trying to focus. Get out of here.”‘
Furthermore, knowing that Kyle Korver was a Philadelphia Phillies fan, Williams told the former 76er how the World Series ended.
“Deron told me during the game…’The Phillies won! The Phillies won!”‘
Korver joked back, “Dude, I’m playing the game, c’mon.’ But obviously I was excited.”

And in response to a question on when Deron will be back running the point for the Jazz, Korver said, “Hopefully, it won’t be too much longer. We’d much rather have him on the floor than sitting on the bench trying to joke.”
It’s nice to know that there were at least two other people paying attention to the World Series besides the Philadelphia natives.
