Derek Anderson paralyzed for life

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

We’re just now getting late-breaking word that our headline is off a bit. It seems that an injured knee will sideline him for the rest of the season. The Browns lost Brady Quinn a week or so ago and now they have lost Anderson. Have fun with Ken Dorsey!
That loud thump is [...]

What does Hixon know?

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

We just witnessed an awfully peculiar post-game interview with Giants WR Domenik Hixon. Hixon was asked whether or not he had spoken to Plaxico recently and he said he had and that he went to a Knicks game with him. I know the Knicks were in town Saturday night against the Warriors because [...]

Antonio Pierce tried to hide the gun?

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

Police sources have told the NY Daily News that Giants LB Antonio Pierce tried to help Burress by hiding the gun. Also, the Daily News has a bit of a different account as to what happened that night.
From the Daily News verbatim:
Burress is expected to be arrested on felony weapons charges in the coming [...]

Kyle Kosier dead

By Micah Warren | 1 Comment

Dammit! We just made this mistake with Brady Quinn and then we did it again. Cowboys G Kyle Kosier (pronounced like Bernie Kosar) has been placed on injured reserve. Being placed on injured reserve ends your season. Therefore, Kosier is done for the season.
But thankfully, he’s not dead. We tend [...]

Where do I put my money?

By Perry | 1 Comment

I put all my money on the Bird’s tonight. Brandon Lang told me to. My prediction: Eagles 38 Cardinals 27
PHOTO CAPTION: Matthew McConaughey played this guy.
In other news, Allen Iverson continues to be an immature punk by skipping practice earlier today. Looks like we’ll be talk’n bout practice again.

In more news, [...]

Brady Quinn dead

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

Once again, we got ahead of ourselves with the headline. We completely misinterpreted the data on this one. Quinn isn’t dead, but he’s not far from it. He’s out for the year.
While his busted finger didn’t cause paralysis or death, it did cause him to be lost for the remainder of the [...]

Matt Light and Channing Crowder mix it up

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

We seriously doubt that either of these guys will be fined by the league.

Later, Shaun

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

In a move that will likely remove the Redskins from Super Bowl contention, they have decided to part ways with Shaun Alexander.
In a Machiavellian move, the Skins have decided that they are willing to sacrifice the run game in exchange for help on the D-line.

Ahman to IR

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

The Houston Texans have decided to shelve Ahman Green for the year, surprising no one.
Green has constantly been hurt during his two years in Houston and probably won’t return.

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Ryan O’Byrne didn’t do so hot on this delayed penalty call against the Islanders.

Dr. James Andrews to look at Quinn’s finger

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

Brady Quinn was lifted from the Browns loss Sunday against the Texans, partially because of a banged up index finger. At the time, he didn’t think it was affecting him too much, but apparently it was.
Brady Quinn will be heading to Alabama shortly to see Dr. James “you are screwed if you have to [...]

Freddie Mitchell talks Eagles

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

Whenever you need a solid, rational opinion on football from someone who has been-there, done-that you turn to Freddie Mitchell. That’s right, FredEx.
Mitchell did an interview with Jody Mac and Harry Mayes this morning on ESPN 950 in Phlily. Here is some of the interview:
Did he see this coming, specifically with McNabb?
“Well I [...]

Giants sign Edgar Renteria

By Micah Warren | 2 Comments

WFAN in NY is reporting that the Giants have signed shortstop Edgar Renteria.
This must mean that Brandon Jacobs is hurt worse than they are leading on and that they need depth at running back.
It’s a two-year, $18 million deal, which is a lot for a backup running back.

My Thoughts Eagles/Ravens

By Micah Warren | 7 Comments

Well, well, well. What a game. I’m not sure where to even start with this one. Anyway, let’s look at the game:
What I liked…
-The defense played well for a while. That count for much?
-The Phillies won the World Series?

…and not so much…
-Donovan was brutal and I can understand wanting to try [...]

McNabb benched

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

The Eagles have started the second half with Kevin Kolb at QB. McNabb has been benched after turning the ball over three times in the first half.
He’s been uncharacteristically bad in the last couple games. At this point, we don’t know if the move is permanent or not. Kolb’s performance will [...]

Jacobs is out

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

Jay Glazer of Foxsports.com reports that Brandon Jacobs is out today for the Giants. Kind of odd since he was listed as “probable” all week.
The Giants aren’t the only ones to F with the injury reports and the NFL needs to do something about it.

Saints players don’t like a hard sell?

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

A source has told PFT that Saints owner Tom Benson likes to bring new cars from his car dealerships over to the stadium in hopes of getting his employees to make a purchase.
The problem is, most Saints players don’t really feel like they are getting much a deal and are annoyed by the fact that [...]

Gaither and LJ benched

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

The Eagles have benched Omar Gaither and LJ Smith in favor of Akeem Jordan and Brent Celek respectively.
The Eagles know they need to stop Baltimore’s run game (Ravens are 0-4 when rushing for less than 140 yards this season) and they believe that Jordan is better suited to do so.
As for LJ Smith, [...]

Felix Jones is done for the year

By Micah Warren | 1 Comment

Dallas Cowboys RB Felix Jones will be shelved for the year on IR after it was found that he’ll need surgery to repair a ligament in his toe. He’s proven to be explosive, but only played in six games this year due to hamstring issues.
Because he is out for the year, he becomes a [...]
