Back in September we tried to get a Fantasy Turd League going, but unfortunately it was unable to get started. If you are unfamiliar with the Fantasy Turd League or you have some interest in joining, please read about it here.
After the recent Plaxico Burress arrest, I was interested in seeing how many points Plaxico Burress would have accumulated during the season. Let’s review:
Tank Johnson Rule: If a player is arrested or charged with weapons possession, aggravated assault, or resisting arrest they shall receive 5 points for each. (Plaxico Burress: 5 points)
Pacman Jones Rule: If a player is involved with any altercation or arrest stemming from a nightclub or stripclub, that player shall receive 5 points. If said altercation or arrest involves “making it rain,” that player shall receive 10 bonus points. (Plaxico Burress: 5 points)
Bill Romanowski Rule: If a player is fined by the team or league he plays for, that player shall receive points based on the dollar amount of the fine multiplied by .01% up to a maximum of 30 points. This rule does not apply to a player holding out or fined for an illegal hit. (Plaxico Burress: 4.5 points for $45,000 in fines)
