With North Carolina State graduate Philip Rivers leading the San Diego Chargers to a 41-24 victory today over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it means if the Philadelphia Eagles win out they will be playing in the post-season.
After getting snubbed from the Pro Bowl, Rivers went 21-31 for 287 yards and four touchdowns in the victory. If Buffalo can find some way to win in Denver this afternoon it will set up a winner-take-all battle in San Diego next week. The Chargers will play host to the Broncos to decide the champion of the second-worst division in the NFL, the NFC West.

What did we learn today? The western part of this country stinks at football. There was no need for Lewis and Clark to make any expeditions to expand this country.

I’m nervous about this game. I think it’s gonna be closer than people are saying. Hopefully the birds don’t choke….
