Williams, Peterson remove nameplates from lockers

Dec. 31, 2008

reggiewilliams2Jags WR Reggie Williams and LB Mike Peterson removed their nameplates off of their lockers, obviously not expecting to return next season.

“Read the writing on the wall,” said Peterson, who is in the final year of a six-year deal with the Jaguars.

Peterson had a dust up with the coaches this year that led to his benching, while Williams, in his fifth year with the team, just never produced as a WR. 2007’s 10 TD’s don’t count, that was the exception not the norm.

He wants us to read the writing on the wall, but he took down all the writing? There’s nothing to read?
