Michael Phelps has apologized that photos surfaced of him smoking weed. I think we all know that he’s not sorry he smoked pot, he’s sorry he got caught. As in, his sponsors might make him sorry he got caught. As far as OTR is concerned, he can smoke all the weed he wants. He’s a young kid who is in peak physical condition. Go for it. Party it up.
“I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment,” Phelps said in a statement written by someone else that he glanced over and approved after being told that this is what his sponsors wanted to hear. “I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again.”

When I’m 23 i want to still be ripping the Bong. He should not be sorry. He should be acting like a kid and having a good time. Just because he Michael Phelps does not mean he can’t enjoy himself. Honestly, I don’t see what the big deal is with Michael Phelps smoking weed. Only because, I smoke weed myself and I think it’s totally acceptable. For the most part, he’s done more than any single one of us in his entire life, and that’s only been for the last 23 years. I’m almost 21. And, the very first time I got caught smoking weed was when I was 16. Seriously, I sat down with my mom and dad and told them that I wouldn’t let it hold me back from school or sports. I played softball throughout highschool. I play softball in college. I smoke weed every single day. And, I’m still getting up everyday, going to class, going to practice, doing all my work, and then make time for the rest. Obviously, he was just out for a weekend having a little bit of fun. It’s not like weed comes before anything else in Phelps’ eyes. This is all just ridiculous. And, I think that the majority of you people need to lighten up, go buy a bag of weed, light it up. And, tell me that you don’t feel like a million bucks.
