On Saturday, the New York Post wrote an article about the possibility of Dwayne Wade and Lebron James joining forces in 2010 when they become free agents.
“It could happen. We both understand that. We both signed the same contract. We did it together. More than anything, it’s fun to think about,” Wade told the Post. “It’s exciting to know we both control our future. Will it happen? Who knows. He has some something he’s trying to accomplish in Cleveland. I have something I’m trying to accomplish in Miami. But up until 2010, it will be fun to think about.”
Yes, it’s is very exhilarating to think about. Two of the best and most exciting players in the NBA playing for the same team. What if Magic played with Bird? Jordan with Isiah? Stockton with Malone? Oh wait, nevermind, that did happen. How the hell didn’t they win?
Lebron James and Dwayne Wade on the same team would be like watching lesbian nude scenes starring Lindsay Lohan and Alyssa Milano. And these scenes are televised for about two-and-a half hours a night, three times a week for six-months of the year. And $100 million contracts are signed letting you know you will be able to view them for 6-7 years. I would definitely DVR them. And I’m pretty sure they would be On Demand.

However, it doesn’t sound like anything entertaining like this will be happening in New York, despite what the New York Post tried to conjure up.
”Is it a possibility me and LeBron will play together? It’s always a possibility,” Wade said after the Heat’s practice Tuesday at AmericanAirlines Arena. “We’re both free agents. Is it a possibility I’m going to New York? That’s not a possibility in my mind.”
So, New York Knick fans, keep on dreaming that your team eventually will get better. And get used to David Lee being your best player for years to come. And get used to Kobe dropping 61 points every time he visits Madison Square Garden. Why? Cause there’s no way Lebron James or Dwayne Wade will ever play for your Spike Lee franchise.
