Best offer will land TJ Houshmandzadeh

March 2, 2009

tjhousmandzadehWith reports now surfacing that free agent wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh did indeed leave Minnesota last night in route to Los Angeles, his future team is still uncertain.

However, it is apparent whoever offers him the most money will get his services.  Rick Alonzo of the St. Pioneer Paul Press released these comments made by Houshmandzadeh:

“Ray [Lewis] spoke for all of us when he said, ‘If you don’t play less, you don’t take less [money].  I’m nervous about leaving Cincinnati.  It will be a huge adjustment, like being a rookie all over again.  Moving, getting to know everyone, learning a new team, new players, new coaches, new system — I can see why guys would take less to stay.  But if I have to make a choice between the best team and the best money?  I’m not stupid, man.  I’ll take the money.”

Philadelphia Eagles fans can pretty much guarantee TJ won’t be suiting up for their team.  But where does that leave Minnesota, Cincinnati, and Seattle?

In Cincinnati, it’s being reported they offered TJ a 5-year, $35 million contract with $11 million in guarantees and he turned it down or that offer is on hold (reports are stating both).

Whoever it may be it does look like his decision will be made today.  Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer posts in his Twitter account that receiver T.J Houshmandzadeh will be making a decision as to his next NFL team on Monday.

My guess would be Seattle.

If he want’s a ring, I think he’d be best served going to Minnesota. If he’s worried about who’s getting the ball to him, he can rest well. Apparantly the Vikings are looking at Jay Cutler from Denver.

    Overwhelming Defense= Check
    Overwhelming Running game= Check
Overwhelming Passing game= Pending Trade and F/A pick up
Super Bowl = Pending February 2010 to start.

Minnesota, the only team in the NFC North worth talking about these days. What happened to the old days, the days of the “Black and Blue” division.

He has made it clear that it is all about the money…which is unfortunate.

If we were to bring in Cutler and Whosyourmomma….whew, watch out NFL.

Wish he would go to the Detroit. Tj and Calvin, all we need is a decent Qb and a defense that will atleast get 20th overall D, And than Watchout.
