The Red Sox and pitcher Jon Lester have agreed to a five-year, $30 million deal, a source tells Yahoo! Sports. The deal includes a $13 million club option for 2014.

Lester, who overcame cancer to resume a successful baseball career, got the most money ever by a pitcher with around two years of service.
