With injuries to Johan Santana and Mike Pelfrey, the Mets should be slightly worried about the early-season health of their rotation. Pelfrey strained his calf in a bullpen session on Friday, which is never good. But according to the NY Post, Pelfrey will make a start this Saturday against the Washington Nationals.

The Mets better hope that Santana and Pelfrey don’t miss any significant time. Both are being counted on to try to overtake the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies.
