According to NFL.com, Alabama tackle Andre Smith stunk it up in his Pro Day workout for scouts. This comes after he curiously didn’t show up where he was supposed to at the Combine. He was relying on his Pro Day workout and it looks like it wasn’t much to rely on.
Smith measured in at 6-foot-4 ΒΌ and 325 pounds and ran the 40-yard dash in 5.28 and 5.33 seconds. He had a 25-inch vertical, a 7-foot, 10-inch broad jump, a 7.88-second three-cone drill and 19 bench-press repetitions at 225 pounds.
While we don’t put much stock into the 40 times of offensive lineman, a league source told PFT that he ran without his shirt on and was visibly overweight and flabby.
