Bears’ second-year wide receiver Earl Bennett admits that last here he was crap (he didn’t exactly say it like that) because it took him a while to learn the plays.
“I struggled [learning] the plays last year,” Bennett said Wednesday. “I was lethargic because of it. It probably took me until Week 6, Week 7 to pick them up.
“Toward the end, I started grasping the concepts. Once you put things aside and just play, you can play a lot faster.”
It’s easy to see why he couldn’t crack the Bears wide receiver lineup with all of those Pro Bowlers out there. Apparently, according to this article in the Chicago Tribune, Bennett looks much better running routes so far this year. That means you should probably draft him in the second round of your fantasy league. Just trust us.
Regardless of all this, we still don’t see Julius Peppers going to the Patriots.

Earl Bennett is the best. That’smy uncle
He has a lot of upside and will be helped tremendously by finally having a half-way decent QB out there.
