Stemming from a 2005 bar fight, loser-thug Allen Iverson must infuse the pockets of Marlin Godfrey with $260,ooo, a federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday. Godfrey and another patron, David Anthony Kittrell, sued Iverson for $20 million, but the jury decided not to award punitive damages and only compensate Godfrey $10,000 for his medical bills and $250,000 for pain and suffering.

Bar patron Marlin Godfrey accused Iverson’s bodyguard, Jason Kane, of punching, kicking and hitting him with a bottle because he refused to vacate the VIP section at Washington club Eyebar to make way for the basketball star and his entourage. Godfrey suffered a concussion, a ruptured eardrum, a burst blood vessel in his eye, a torn rotator cuff, cuts and bruises, and emotional injuries. Iverson just stood there and did nothing, watching Godfrey get the living crap beat out of him.

I understand this happened in 2005, but what we all know by now is Allen Iverson doesn’t change. He is still the selfish basketball player on the court and the loser thug off the court. I’m sure after Iverson retires from the NBA (couldn’t come soon enough), that he will either find himself in jail or somehow waste all his money and file for bankruptcy.

It’s people like Iverson who continue to be and act like a thug in the limelight that makes young kids what to be like them. The problem is cyclical. There are plenty of NBA stars that grew up in the ghetto who put the past behind them. Iverson will never grow up. He’s just another PacMan Jones. He’s a loser and an overrated basketball player.

How many articles have you posted about Iverson’s vast contributions to charities? Where was your article when Iverson paid for the funeral of some kid who was murdered for his Iverson jersey? If you want to actually post legit articles, do like most good journalist do and go out and find facts before you post your biased unjustified opinion.

You have no idea what a thug is. If A.I. was a thug, he would have helped his bodyguard beat that man’s ass. You need to do some research on A.I. before you write another article about him because you know nothing about him. A.I. does a lot for the community. Iverson is a smart enough thug to know he would get sued for crazy cash if he hit someone. That’s why he hires a body guard.
As a big Sixers fan, I can 100% attest to the fact that AI is as thuglife (throw ya guns in the air) as you get. He is a horrible role model for fans and for his teammates. I hope Lou Williams isn’t permanently scarred from Iverson taking him under his wing when he first entered the league.

Really Be?, I would really like to see concrete facts that back up your statement that crime rates rise where ever Iverson goes. Detroit has always been known as an area with heavy crime way before A.I. was even in the NBA. Philly? just as dangerous or less dangerous as its always been with or without Iverson. Actually, Detroit’s economic downfall has also been congruent with Iverson’s tenure there. Before the trade, GM stock was at $253.27. Now look what it is at. All attributable to the waste of skin that is one Allen Iverson.

I’m sure the same folks ranting over Iverson hate the fact that Obama is in the White House. Right now, Detroit needs to worry more about selling cars than Iverson. I’ve known Iverson since he was a kid at the Boys and Girls Club and he’s going to do quite well when he retires. His investments are fine and he’s going to take the proceeds from the $300 million that he has made to resume his favorite hobby since childhood. So while the haters are busy working their behinds off to support their families, just know that Iverson is sitting back drinking a cold one for you and enjoying what most “Thugs” do ….fishing.
