Ty Lawson who has been battling an injury with his toe that kept him out of the ACC tournament is feeling much better and expected to playagainst Gonzaga in their sweet-sixteen match-up Friday night.

The point guard was a major factor in UNC’s second round victory over LSU scoring 23 points with six assists and providing the much-needed energy for the Tar Heels to hold off the hungry Tigers.  Without Lawson manning the point it will be very tough for the Tar Heels to keep on advancing.

Lawson is the second-best point guard remaining in the NCAA tournament behind Syracuse sophomore Jonny Flynn.
