Vikings were first team to inquire about Cutler
March 25
A source tells Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports that the Vikings were the first team to inquire about the availability of Broncos sourpuss QB Jay Cutler.
According to Robinson, the Vikings would have sent picks to Denver in exchange for Cutler. The Broncos would have then sent the picks to the Patriots in exchange for Matt Cassel.
But, the deal fell through because some elements of the Vikings “weren’t entirely sold on Cutler.”
