Jason Campbell is “pissed.”

April 5, 2009

jasoncampbell2A league source tells PFT that despite doing and saying all the right things, Jason Campbell is “pissed” about the team’s attempt to land Jay Cutler.

We don’t think that Campbell has gotten an entirely fair shake so far in the pro’s due to the fact that he seems to have to learn a new offense every damn year. Then again, it wouldn’t be the first time the Redskins mishandled a late first-round QB. Patrick Ramsey got the awesome opportunity to start his career off in Steve Spurrier’s experimental college offense. A major flaw of that offense is that it’s not a priority to protect the QB. Yeah, that didn’t go so well.

So back to Campbell, we don’t know that’s he’s worse than Cutler. Cutler’s 4,526 passing yards and 25 TD’s are a bit skewed. Denver’s defense is an unmitigated disgrace. You tend to have to throw more when you are getting into shootouts. Cutler’s numbers look great, but not when held up to the light of an 8-8 record. And 18 INT’s to Campbell’s six is quite a big difference. Also, throwing to Eddie Royal and Brandon Marshall is a lot nicer than Santana Moss and Randle El.

Should Campbell be pissed? Eh, maybe. He’s entering the final year of his rookie contract and if Washington loved him, there is no way that would happen. He should know that he’s not their favorite. That said, maybe he would be their favorite if they did him an ounce of a favor and didn’t give him new crap to learn every year.

Maybe when he stops staring down his receivers, Washington will begin to love him. Or maybe when he gets rid of the ball to a wide open receiver instead of holding on to it all day, Washington would love him.

…or telegraph his throw with a lengthy windup.

…or acts like he has a pulse.

    maybe they can love him.

    LOL! Well said.

Or hit a receiver on stride so the receiver doesn’t have to stop his route to catch it?

JC should throw to an open receiver? Wouldnt that require that there were RECEIVERS to catch the ball in the 1st place. If ya TE stays in 2 block, REL can’t catch a cold, Moss is triple covered and Malcolm/Devin/Fred are injured/running in the wrong direction/asleep.. guess he culd throw it 2 1 of the linemen since they arent blockin anyone anyway.

& if it takes a receiver 4 secs to run a route & it takes Demarcus Ware 2 secs to run through Jon Jansen..uh..im no mathematician but I bet u green eggs & ham Ware gets to JC before that ball can be thrown.

but i may b wrong. Everyone on the offense is great EXCEPT Campbell. uh huh riiiiiiiite. JC calls his own plays – riiiiiiiiiite. JC told Snyder to trade valuable draft picks for J Taylor- riiiiiiiite. JC is the reason we dont have any DEs worth a damn – riiiiiiiiite. JC makes Carlos Rogers drop INTs – riiiiiiiiiite. JC makes REL punt return avg be about 2 yds per game – riiiiiiiiiite. JC is the reason we have punters who giv the opp field position at teh 40-yrd line or better – riiiiiiiiitttte. JC tells the o-lne NOT to block anybody – riiiiiiiiitte. JC’s QB rating last year was like 84.6 & Cutler’s was 86 so we need Cutler so bad – riiiiiiiiite. Yea he’s the problem. Let’s let REL quarterback & we make the playoffs – riiiiiiiiiiite.

    geniuses.

Josie Wales is a tool, right? Riiiiiiiiiite!
