Welcome to “On the Record,” Blast’s new sports blog, run by contributing editor and sports blogger Britt Braudo. The new blog is part of our 2009 rebranding, which will phase out the traditional sports section in favor of a more in-depth blog. Where else can you get the latest Red Sox news mixed in with professional bull riding commentary? We’re not your grandma’s sports blog, that’s for sure.

About “Off the Record” with Micah and Perry, which can still be found in our archives

2/3 of the Earth’s surface is covered by water, the other 1/3 will be covered by this blog. Ok, not quite. But, we did break the Asante Samuel signing this NFL offseason, along with numerous other Eagles stories, so maybe we aren’t too bad.

Also, you can always check Micah’s more Philly-minded sports thoughts and opinions on the popular website GCobb.com. Garry “G.” Cobb played in the NFL for the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys for 11 years.

G. hosts a radio show on Philly’s biggest sports radio station, 610 WIP, and is one of the most respected authorities on the Eagles. You can look for Micah on WIP, as he does a couple spots per month on the popular Philly sports radio station.
