We hope we were sufficiently obnoxious/helpful/annoying/informative during that time. We’re here to serve you, the reader.

We’re working hard in the OTR newsroom to collect relevant sports information that you may or may not care about. Or flat-out don’t care about, but still think it’s funny to hear rude/obnoxious commentary on the world of sports. Trust us, we are a reputable news gathering organization as far as you know. Just check out the awards we’ve won.

Photo Caption: “Jim, stop being a dick. You know what time it is in Moscow. That joke stopped being funny a long time ago.”

So, try us out for 3-5 years just to see what we’re about. We think you’ll agree that OTR is one of the best half-assed, at-times-credible sports sites anywhere on the entire internet (east coast only, and only down to Virginia).

Bookmark us today and never feel out of the sportsworld loop for the rest of your life!

Sources close to OTR have told OTR that OTR will be no more. It’s just not the same anymore and it wouldn’t fair to our loyal readers to continue to just go through the motions. We did have a great run though. We broke the Asante Samuel signing. We were the first to report the Eagles interest in Larry Fitzgerald. We still stand by our report that there was a crack in Jimmy Rollins ankle.

We’d rather just shut it down than to run a boring, poorly updated blog, which is what OTR is starting to become.

We can’t thank all of our readers enough. You guys have all been great and we had a ton of fun playing with everyone. Maybe we’ll do it again some day. We could have just let the blog die slowly and not update it, but that’s not fair to anyone. We thought we would give OTR a proper burial by at least letting everyone know that we are calling it quits.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, December 21st at 2 PM at the Lodi, NJ YMCA.

You can send thoughts and regards to MPerry_77@hotmail.com and MicahW@feverpitchmedia.com.

Happy Holidays to all of those in OTR land!!

So Blast has a question for today and we thought we’d post it here. We all know the government proposed a $700 billion buyout for Wall St., but what would you do with $700 billion in the sports world? Here’s what I think some of our readers would do with it:

Pavlovic: Spend it all on Yankees t-shirts and life vests, not knowing that he could have just bought the team and a night out with Derek Jeter. He could have overspent even more for marginal players.

Neetzi: Wedding ring with Shane Victorino’s face on it. His real face. We said billion not million.

Perry: He would buy out Early Times whiskey and be set for Eagles tailgates for life.

Chad: Use the money to campaign Congress heavily to legalize marijuana.

IceYde: Would use it to buy a house where Bastian Schweinsteiger and his entire family could all live together. Schweinsteiger’s family, not IceYde’s. It’s expensive to fly them all in. He would buy Bayern-Munich with the leftover money.

Bohn: Would donate it all to NC State athletics and they would still be mediocre.

So tell us: What would Andy Reid spend it on? Steinbrenner? (give it all to A Rod?) Belichick (better video cameras?)?

Japanese horse? How great is that? I’ve never seen a Japanese horse before. Anyway, if Casino Drive is scratched from the race and you have Perry Dollars on him, remember to switch your bet. I’ll allow you to.

PHOTO CAPTION: Japanese horses are usually jockeyed by Samurai. Stay tuned.

UPDATE: Casino Drive has been pulled from the Belmont Stakes.

Here are the updated odds with new horses. Please place your new bets (if you had Casino Drive or if you haven’t bet yet) under this article’s comments. Actually, a lot changes have been made. If you don’t see your horse anymore, bet that amount again.

Horse	Odds:

Readers that need to replace bets (and amount): Markus, Behindatthebar ($75) & Casino Drive ($75); SportsIdiot, Mint Lane ($200); Neetz, Casino Drive ($200); Guilfoil, Tomcito ($25) & Casino Drive ($75).

Let’s see who can take this one down for the baseball tickets. Can Lindsey lose her lead? Everyone gets $200 Perry Dollars for this final leg of the Triple Crown, spread out the $200, as you wish. Our Casino just came out with the odds last night after thorough handicapping research. These numbers will not change:

Behindatthebar (our favorite horse is back) ——- 20/1
Big Brown (can he win the triple crown? Josh Hamilton is the jockey?) ——- 1/3
Casino Drive (could this be the horse to ruin Big Brown’s run?) ——- 5/2
Denis Of Cork (Good thing that ‘r’ isn’t a ‘c?’) ——- 15/2
Macho Again (Honestly, when was this horse not macho?) ——- 20/1
Mint Lane (Oooohhhhh Yeaaaahhhh, sounds sexy and tasty!) ——- 30/1
Tale Of Ekati (I want to know this story) ——- 10/1
Tomcito (Is this Spanish for Tom?) ——- 30/1

Current Standings:

Lindsey $525
Neetz $420
Fooks $413
Shane $150
