Randy Moller goal calls

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

This guy is great. Randy Moller is the radio play-by-play man for the Florida Panthers. The Florida Panthers are a hockey team in case you didn’t know. This guy is fun to listen to and they probably have them working there to entice people to listen to hockey games. People in [...]

Emmitt Smith leaves ESPN

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

We saw on PFT that Emmitt Smith is no longer a member of ESPN. We also think the person that hired him should be gone too. How long did it take to figure out that he can’t speak?

By Micah Warren | 3 Comments

Be sure to look to your right and see our new poll is up. Who is the best catcher in baseball? Be sure to check that out and vote.
Photo Caption: “KEN!!! Jesus, man. And don’t say sour cream & onion potato chips. Chips do NOT make someone’s [...]

Danica Patrick has tattoo removed by Sports Illustrated

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

Danica Patrick has had her tattoo Photoshopped out in her new pics for Sports Illustrated. SI hasn’t given any specific reason for it, but Danica’s camp is ok with it. Here are several pictures that may or may not have anything at all to do with the removed back tattoo.

Kevin Garnett and the Holy Grail

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

This is pretty funny. Thanks to Fooks for passing this along. Kevin Garnett’s new Gatorade commercial parodies “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” One of the greatest movies of all time.

Not sports, but…

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

This overdub of an old union video is pretty damn funny. Especially if you live in the NY/NJ area and know people that talk like this.

Hey OTR readers,
We know that from time to time (and sometimes more than that) you like to tell us how crappy we are. And that’s just fine! We understand completely. But, if you really want us to understand how bad you think we are, you should scroll down on the right side [...]

Costas leaves HBO for MLB Network

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

Bob Costas has officially left HBO for MLB’s fledgling network that is aptly titled, MLB Network.
The move will not affect his relationship with NBC, where he has worked since 1980.
“No, we don’t have a problem,” NBC spokesman Brian Walker said.
Costas hosted the first-ever program on MLB Network, while HBO demanded cable exclusivity.
“Bob [...]

Aikman has awful day

By Micah Warren | 4 Comments

I’m usually a fan of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. Aikman, in particular, usually does an excellent job.
Yesterday, that was not the case.
Aikman couldn’t have ripped Donovan McNabb more in the first half. Even throws that were completed drew two-minute soliloquys on what great things would have happened if he put [...]

R.I.P. OTR

By Micah Warren | 4 Comments

Sources close to OTR have told OTR that OTR will be no more. It’s just not the same anymore and it wouldn’t fair to our loyal readers to continue to just go through the motions. We did have a great run though. We broke the Asante Samuel signing. We were the [...]

Micah on 610 WIP Saturday night

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

I’ll be doing an appearance with G. Cobb on 610 WIP Saturday night. I’ll probably go on between 10:30pm and 11:30pm. If not then, then I’ll go on between 10pm and 11:15pm. Either way, you should definitely check it out.
If you don’t live in the Philly area, you can log on to [...]

OTR has technical difficulties

By Micah Warren | 2 Comments

For whatever reason, the formatting of OTR is all f’ed up. Plus, you can’t click on any of the links and Perry can’t log in. I have no idea what is wrong, but it sucks. If you were thinking the same thing, then we agree. I’d say “we’re on top of [...]

How great is Harry the K?

Anyone talk to Bill Walsh lately?

By Micah Warren | 3 Comments

Danyelle Sargent didn’t do a ton of research before interviewing Mike Singletary on the sideline. In fact, we would conclude that she did none. Singletary was a Bear. Ditka would probably be his mentor. And as for talking to Bill Walsh? He probably hasn’t spoken to Bill since July 2007….when [...]

Please elect Obama

By Micah Warren | 7 Comments

And here is why: Al Sharpton is demanding that the NY Post apologize for Steve Serby’s wording in a recent column that said “Good for Tom Coughlin. Good for Coughlin for tightening the noose around Plaxico Burress.”
“To make such a blatant racist statement about an African-American football player with a neck injury is completely unacceptable,” [...]

Mike Singletary could be entertaining

By Micah Warren | 1 Comment

Let’s hope he does this every week. If Mike Singletary is being completely truthful, and we believe that he is, shouldn’t Vernon Davis be about 15 minutes from being cut? The whole rant is pretty good:

Launching new NFC East site soon

By Micah Warren | 4 Comments

Just fyi, kids. G. Cobb and I will be launching a new website soon that will cover all of the NFC East. It’s basically GCobb.com for the whole division. You can get a rough idea of how it will be set up and what the content will be like at NFCEast360.com.
It’s not [...]

Who wants to get hot and nasty with UCF’s football coach?

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

It almost happened. Sort of. When Iliana Limon called into the UCF football conference call, he/she (we really don’t know) got more than he/she expected:
“When I dialed in, the voice on the other line said, “Hi sexy, you’ve reached the one-on-one fantasy line.” I gasped, hung up and figured I must have dialed [...]

Sarah Palin the sports anchor

Has anyone seen Sarah Palin doing the sports for a local Alaskan news station? It’s from 1988 and it’s right here.

It’s easy for Perry to keep buying booze?

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

A study cited by Scientific American magazine says that 3/4 of visibly intoxicated sports fans at games have no problems getting more booze. Perry has known this for years.
The article also says that minors have had access to booze as well. It continues:
“An additional public health service accomplished by the study was that [...]

Places OTR would like to live

By Micah Warren | 3 Comments

At OTR, we don’t get too caught up in the business of pictures of hot broads. They can be found anywhere on the internet so we think posting them here is pretty much a waste of time. But, we saw this Maxim picture of Anna Kournikova and thought it would be of interest [...]

Mad Dog is out

By Micah Warren | 1 Comment

Anyone in living in the NYC Metro area knows that it’s easy to be annoyed every weekday afternoon if they just turn on 660 WFAN. Thanks to DePoe for tipping us off on this one: Chris “Mad Dog” Russo is gone. After 19 years, he’ll need to find new work.
“They mutually agreed” [...]

Micah compliments Perry

By Micah Warren | 7 Comments

Here is a picture of me making a great point about how much I like Perry’s succinctness in the OTR newsroom. I gave him a great compliment, but he wasn’t sure how to take it and he got a little confused.
Oh wait, maybe that’s not that time. Maybe this was when I told [...]

Dana Jacobson likes to rock the party

By Micah Warren | 7 Comments

This happened a while ago and we reported it at the time, but we just found this photo on Deadspin and had to post it. Why does ESPN insist on employing such talentless hacks such as Jacobson? She got suspended for rocking the party and then making drunken jokes about catholics.
We might need [...]

A-Rod’s broad filing for divorce

By Micah Warren | Leave a Comment

According to TMZ.com, C-Rod wants to split from A-Rod. We don’t really care, although Perry is a bit upset about it.
When asked if she would stay with A-Rod so that Perry wouldn’t leave OTR, she replied, “He’s what?!! He might leave?! No, ok….yeah, just…yeah whatever. I’ll do it. I’ll pull [...]

Source: Perry could be leaving OTR

By Perry | 2 Comments

Michael J Perry, agent of OTR writer Mike Perry, has informed OTR that Mike Perry is fielding offers from other blog sites.
“There’s obviously a lot of interest in Perry’s services. He brings a lot of value to the table and can generate traffic,” Michael J stated. “I don’t think it would be [...]
